Car history: |
Cad was purchased new by US Navy Commander James E Kirby, my grandfather. He had attended the 12 Hours of Sebring and fell in love with the Corvette. He lived in Supply, NC at the time and had 2 boys. He purchased the car from Potter-Hinson Chevrolet and had his mother make 2 pillows for the rear window for the boys to sit, one of these is still in my truck today. He loved the Corvette, but with another child coming he sold it to buy a 1967 Olds 442. The car was later totaled on Mack Rd in Brunswick County NC. |
